Knitting with beads
I missed last month so am going to try again to talk about knitting with beads.  Meaning using beads in the cuffs on knitted socks, scarves, and other items.   I will bring my
bead spinner if I find it in the unpacked boxes before then and also the
size of beads I use in my knitting with beads. I will bring a pair of my
socks that have beads on the cuffs.

Creative Hand

CREATIVE HAND 25th annual show and sale is coming up soon!  Friday, November 16 4-9 and Saturday, November 17 10-5 at the Sylvester Powell Community Center 6200 Martway, Mission, KS.  Our COLOR postcards are in the mail to our mailing list of 1,600, and the media has been blanketed with detailed press releases.  I know you would enjoy dropping by the show to see the set-up and enjoy the creative products your fellow guild members are offering for sale.  You might even get some early holiday shopping done!  Be sure to catch the Fashion Show, Friday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m.  It promises to be a wonderful exhibition of the top picks of wearable art.  I hope to see you there!

If you want to come by the show and lend a hand, we can always use the extra help.  If you are interested in helping on the sales floor, please contact Sandy Cahill (816) 505-5507 sandycahill@beweaveme.net.  If you are available to help with the demonstrations, please contact P.J. Holtzman (913) 403-9665 cottagefiber@sbcglobal.net.

Loom For Sale!
4-harness, 6-treadle loom, sectional back beam The little bench goes with it.  Replaced some of the heddles and the beater bar (he still has the original beater bar).  The reed in it now is a 28”, 8-dent reed.  He has the original 12-dent read, but it’s not in great shape.  He made all of the shuttles and the bobbins in the picture.   One warping stick was broken, so there’s only one at the moment.  There’s a text book that came with it.  He’s owned it for 4 years and used it mostly for rugs.  He says it’s built to take a lot of tension, it’s very sturdy.  Warping board  included.  He’s asking $400.  RSRelph@ohsi.com

From the Editor:
Thanks to all of you who sent me stuff this month! I think I received more emails to add to the newsletter this month than I have received the whole time I have been newsletter person. Everyone should be working on all of their wonderful fiber goodies and getting them ready for the Creative Hand Show. If you are not going to be in show, then come on down/up/over and check it out this year.

and remember......
Just click on spindeb@aol.com and send me your news, ads, event coming up, etc...
I would rather have them in email form. It is just easier for me. I am less likely to loose them if they come via email at the later part of the month.
Have a great Turkey Day!!
