Then, be sure to check out the Creative Hand Show and Sale! 50 artists from the Kansas City’s Fiber Guild and Weavers’ Guild have created original items for sale including knitted, felted, and woven wearables, such as garments, hats, and accessories. In addition, there will be fiber sculptures, wall art, home accessories, plus many more one-of-a-kind creations. Beautiful hand-spun and hand-dyed yarns, fibers and kits will also be for sale to make your own original creations or please the fiber fiend on your list. The sale will also include an array of non-fiber art such as pottery, jewelry, candles and soaps. The artists will be there to share information about their creations. Join us Friday, November 20, for a fashion show at 7 p.m. On Saturday November 21, artists will be demonstrating various fiber art techniques, such as spinning, knitting, crochet, weaving, and needle felting. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s sale will go to benefit artists in need nationally through CERF, the Craft Emergency Relief Fund at www.craftemergency.org , and to provide wool-producing animals for families in need through Heifer International at www.heifer.org .
