imgSpinners & Weavers Needed for Demo
Sat, Sept 16th
KCCG Headquarters
6917 Kensington, KC MO

Request from Donna Putnam:
For the past several years, I have done a spinning and weaving demo at the KC Community Gardens fall festival in September. Because my farm population has grown tremendously and I am teaching a college biology course this year, I cannot do this demo. Would you please send out an email, asking if anyone is interested? It is Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10-3 (set up by 9:30). They provide a table, chairs, and a canopy, along with lunch. Please ask interested people to contact Lois Hutchins at This is not a sales event, but people would hand out business cards and Creative Hand event cards. If no one wants to commit to the entire day, a few people could split it up.

Open House at Manna Meadows
Sat, Sept 30, 2017 10am-5pm
Sun, Oct 1, 2017 noon-4pm

Dear Fiber Enthusiasts,
Brian and I are once again hosting an open house at our alpaca farm on Sat Sept. 30 from 10-5 and Sunday Oct. 1 from noon-4. In addition, we are a stop on the Kaw Valley Farm Tour the following weekend Sat. Oct. 7 from 9-6 and Sunday Oct. 8 from noon-6. We invite you to join us and are, in fact, looking for anyone who would be willing to help us with fiber demonstrations. Our visitors love watching the spinning wheels whir and the loom weave. Knitters, crocheters and felters also welcome to demonstrate your passion.

These are rain or shine events and demonstrations are held under a tent. Lunch is provided. We will provide roving for spinners and yarn for others (or any other supplies needed).

If you are interested and available, please call me 913-461-5003 or email with questions or to let me know we can count on you!!

Thanks much.
